As a baseball player, Chris Beck was born and raised in the White Sox organization.
The right-handed pitcher has been a member of the franchise ever since he was drafted out of Georgia Southern in 2012. He started with the Great Falls Voyagers and progressed through the other minor league programs — Birmingham Barons, Winston-Salem Dash and Charlotte Knights — before making his White Sox debut three years later.
“He’s drafted by the White Sox, developed by the White Sox, coming up from within the White Sox,” manager Rick Renteria said. “He’s starting to show signs of confidence and effectiveness.
