Chicago White Sox’s ACE program will get its own ‘Field of Dreams’ game in August — and it will be televised

It’s scheduled a day before the Sox play the New York Yankees in the “MLB at Field of Dreams” game at a 8,000-seat temporary ballpark built adjacent to the movie site.

The ACE program was created in 2007 with the goal of creating opportunities for under-resourced Chicago communities. Since then, 26 participants have been selected in the MLB draft— including two in the first round — with 94 playing Division I college baseball and more than 225 players earning college scholarships.
