The Chicago White Sox third baseman was scheduled to rest for the final game of the series at Comerica Park. But a sinus infection kept him out of the lineup the next three games against the Tampa Bay Rays at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Moncada returned Thursday when the Sox opened their four-game series against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. He felt better but wasn’t at 100%.
“During the Tampa series, I just felt congestion, headaches, body aches,” Moncada said through an interpreter before Friday’s game in Houston. “I wasn’t feeling good. I don’t know exactly what it was.
