With Alex Colome a free agent, the White Sox have an opening at closer. Colome excelled in the role the last two seasons for the Sox, converting 42 of 46 save opportunities.
Hendriks, who turns 32 on Feb. 10, is the top closer on the free-agent market. He went 3-1 with a 1.78 ERA and 14 saves in 15 opportunities for the Oakland Athletics in 2020. He had 37 strikeouts and three walks in 25u2153 innings and earned a save in the deciding Game 3 of the AL wild-card series against the Sox.
