Charlie Tilson is back with the White Sox and in the starting lineup for Thursday’s 1:10 p.m. game (WGN-9, WGN-AM 720) against the Orioles.
Tilson took the roster spot of Leury Garcia, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left knee sprain. Tilson was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte, where he was hitting .248 with eight doubles, 10 RBIs and nine walks in 39 games. Tilson tore his left hamstring while making his major-league debut in 2016 and has not played for the Sox since.
“My biggest strong suit was not losing hope,” he said.
