The White Sox made a significant round of roster cuts Tuesday with two days to go in Cactus League play.
The Sox optioned infielders Matt Davidson, Leury Garcia and Carlos Sanchez and right-hander Tommy Kahnle to Triple-A Charlotte. They also assigned outfielder Jason Coats to minor-league camp.
The Sox now have 31 players in camp.
Among those still in camp but on the roster bubble are first basemen Travis Ishikawa and Jerry Sands, outfielders J.B. Shuck and Jacob May, pitchers Scott Carroll, Jacob Turner and Phillippe Aumont and catcher Hector Sanchez.
