Bullpen comes through for the Chicago White Sox as they open a 4-game series vs. the Oakland A’s with a 5-2 win

Luis Robert had three hits, including a solo home run, and scored three runs for the Chicago White Sox in a 5-2 win against the Oakland Athletics on Monday at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Seby Zavala had two hits, two RBIs and scored once for the Sox in the opener of the four-game series, while Tim Anderson had two hits and scored the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Eloy Jiménez in the fifth.

Reliever Michael Kopech struck out three in two scoreless innings, and Craig Kimbrel faced a jam with runners on second and third and one out in the eighth but struck out the next two to keep a 4-2 lead intact.
