In 2005, the White Sox anthem was Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” which started after a group of Sox players requested it at a karaoke bar in Baltimore. The song spread to the fans and become so intertwined with the team’s outrageously good fortunes that Steve Perry started hanging around the team during the World Series run.
Eleven years later, the new Sox anthem is played in secret in the clubhouse and it’s a little less familiar to the average fan.
