Blackhawks veterans have learned not to sweat series deficit

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Patrick Sharp remembers a time during his career when he was "living and dying with every goal scored" during the playoffs.

Nowadays, Sharp and his Blackhawks teammates don't get too high when they're up in a series nor too low when they trail. It's the latter scenario that is important as the Hawks head into Game 2 of the Western Conference finals against the Ducks on Tuesday night down in the best-of-seven series thanks to Anaheim's 4-1 victory in Game 1 on Sunday.

"It's something that's been learned over a couple of years," Sharp said after Monday's practice.
