One of the rites of summer in Chicago is Stanley's trip to Wrigley Field, when the Blackhawks bring their cup to the ballpark and let the Cubs hoist it.
The Stanley Cup is not only a reward for excellence, but a gleaming reminder of how much we value winners in Chicago, especially in a place where they haven't won a championship in 106 years.
"It's great to have a model franchise like that here in town where you can observe what they do and through osmosis maybe pick up a thing or two," President Theo Epstein said.
