Bill Walton’s White Sox broadcast hadn’t technically started, but he was already waxing poetic about hitting baseball into far off galaxies.
No, seriously, that’s not an exaggeration.
During White Sox Pregame Live, Walton, filling in for Steve Stone as a guest analyst, explained to play-by-play announcer how he would swing at a pitch. He did this, by the way, with a tie-dye shirt on (because of course) and had a bat in his hands for the display. The bat may have made Benetti nervous, but Walton continued nonetheless.
“I lean back and then just bam,” Walton said.
