It's all Paul Goldschmidt's fault that, until recently, Adam Eaton has been typecast as a top-of-the-order hitter.
The White Sox outfielder, who normally bats first or second, has moved down in the lineup of late, though, spending three of the last four games in the third spot for the first time in his major-league career.
Eaton said he batted there during his sophomore and junior years of college while playing for Miami of Ohio. He stayed there, he said, through rookie and high-A ball after he was drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 19th round of the 2010 draft.
