White Sox second baseman Yoan Moncada is out of the lineup Thursday night in the series opener against the Twins at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Moncada left Wednesday’s loss to the Cardinals with a tight left hamstring and also is battling a sore foot and thumb.
Sox right-hander Reynaldo Lopez takes the mound in search of his first victory of the season. He is 0-2 with a 1.78 ERA. He faces Twins right-hander Jake Odorizzi, who is 2-2 with a 3.94 ERA.
The Sox will play six games on this homestand, four against the Twins and two against the Pirates.
