GLENDALE, AZ – The Chicago White Sox continued Cactus League play this afternoon as they matched-up with the San Diego Padres at Camelback Ranch in Glendale on Wednesday afternoon. John Danks got the start for the White Sox, opposed by Padres starter Drew Pomeranz.
Danks was looking to build upon his dominant performance from last Friday versus the Cubs, where he threw five scoreless innings, while striking out seven Cubs hitters.
Danks did just that, pitching six scoreless innings against the Padres, striking out six batters while walking just one.
Drew Pomeranz held the White Sox in check until the bottom of the fourth inning when he allowed a solo shot to left field off the bat of Avisail Garcia.
