GLENDALE, Ariz. — Tim Anderson is only 25 years old. He’s as much a part of the rebuilding White Sox long-term plans as the likes of Yoan Moncada, Michael Kopech and Eloy Jimenez.
But he’s entering his fourth big league season, and he’s been around longer than most in the White Sox clubhouse. So why shouldn’t he be a leader as this team preps for the transition from rebuilding to contending?
“Seems like it, yeah,” Anderson said Friday when asked if he was among the veterans on this young roster. “It's coming on me quick, but I'm enjoying every moment of it.
