White Sox left-hander John Danks will try to get on track Thursday afternoon after posting an 0-2 record and 7.94 ERA over his first two starts this season.
Behind Danks, the Sox will try for a series victory against the Angels at U.S. Cellular Field after going 2-1 to start their seven-game homestand.
Danks said after his last start against the Rays that he thought he pitched better than his line showed, and Sox manager Robin Ventura echoed those comments Thursday.
“We want it for him,” Ventura said. “We want him to go out there and throw strikes, put it in play where somebody can catch it and we can score some runs.
