After a loss in the first game, the White Sox evened the doubleheader with Erick Fedde on the mound for Game 2. Fedde went seven shutout innings with 6 strikeouts. Jordan Leasure and Michael Kopech came in for relief.
In the bottom of the 3rd, Rafael Ortega reached first base on a bunt and stole second. Tommy Pham walked on a wild pitch ball four which advanced Ortega to third. Andrew Vaughn blasted a three-run home run to give the White Sox an early 3–0 lead.
Tommy Pham ended the Nationals threat in the top of the 6th with a great sliding catch.
