The Chicago White Sox closer told his manager he would be available for the ninth inning Saturday if the team needed him.
Colome retired the side in order, with the aid of a tremendous diving catch by center fielder Luis Robert for the first out, in Saturday’s 5-3 win at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
“I’m always positive,” Colome said through an interpreter Sunday. “I always fill my mind with positive thoughts and every time I’m on the field, every time on the mound, I’m just enjoying that moment. I’m focused on that particular moment.
