The White Sox didn't leave for a 10-day, 11-game road trip on a good note Thursday, losing to the Athletics on a three-run homer in the ninth inning at U.S. Cellular Field.
Luckily, they had rookies in costume to lighten the mood on the flight to Cleveland.

Sox veterans bought and provided the costumes for their assigned rookies, who had no idea what they were in for until they found their outfits on their chairs in the Sox locker room before leaving Thursday night for the three-game series at Progressive Field.
