The White Sox returned to business at Comerica Park for Tuesday night's game with mostly the same team as before the trade deadline — but with far fewer rumors to combat.
The Sox dealt only left-handed reliever Zach Duke to the Cardinals, leaving pretty much the same group of players looking to improve upon a 51-54 record, entering the series against the Tigers.
"They're happy to still be with each other, but as far as attitude, you just continue on," Sox manager Robin Ventura said.
Duke's departure left Ventura with only one lefty, Dan Jennings, in the bullpen and with a new hole in seventh- and eighth-inning relief.
