Joel Quenneville said he watched the video of the Blackhawks' thrilling, yet exhausting triple-overtime Game 2 triumph over the Ducks Tuesday night during his team's long flight from the West Coast back to Chicago on Wednesday.
"It took a while," the smiling Blackhawks coach said.
Groggy Blackhawks fans who stayed up past 1 a.m. to watch the 3-2 playoff victory live can attest to the agonizing length of the epic contest, which was the longest in team history.
After they returned home Wednesday, Blackhawks players Brad Richards, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Jonathan Toews said they were looking forward to a good dinner and a chance to catch up on their sleep.
