Anyone who has heard — or contributed to — the boos bouncing around U.S. Cellular Field after one of Adam LaRoche's 130 strikeouts this year understands when the White Sox designated hitter calls this the "most frustrating" season of his career.
It has been made more painful recently by a bout of patellar tendinosis in his right knee, which first bothered LaRoche after he hit a wall going for a foul ball a couple of months ago. The injury progressed in the last couple of weeks to the point that he couldn't finish games because of the discomfort.
