Adam Eaton returns to the leadoff spot as the White Sox try to find a spark on offense in Monday’s series opener against the Mariners at Safeco Field.
The Sox have been outscored 18-1 on a four-game losing streak to the Braves and Angels. They also went 34 straight innings without scoring during a stretch that spanned before and after the All-Star break.
“It’s pretty embarrassing, and it starts with me,” Sox third baseman Todd Frazier said after Sunday’s loss. “I’m the guy yesterday with the opportunity to get a guy in, and I have to find a way to put the ball in play.
