Abreu, White Sox need All-Star push

In the latest balloting update, released on Monday, no member of the White Sox appeared in the top five of his position. First baseman Jose Abreu was fourth in the first ballot update, which was released more than a month ago, but has fallen out of the top five since.

Abreu is hitting .288 with 12 home runs and 40 RBIs entering Monday's series opener against the Twins. He was an All-Star in his rookie season in 2014 and likely has the best All-Star case among White Sox position players.
