Amid a wave of criticism for continuing to play the deeply disappointing Yoan Moncada, White Sox manager Rick Renteria’s showed confidence in his young second baseman by batting him leadoff and saying he doesn’t look like he needed a rest.
And Moncada promptly responded by following a four-strikeout game Tuesday that raised his dubious league lead to 161 responded with a game in which he struck out only twice.
