Yesterday’s Highlights
Daniel Palka’s two-out, two-run monster homer (17) in the top of the ninth broke a 6–6 tie and carried the White Sox to a thrilling 8–7 victory and three-game sweep over the Rays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The Sox, who scored the winning run in their last at bat in each of the three one-run wins, have now won a season-high four consecutive games.
That’s Tim Anderson in the photo above celebrating Palka’s eventual game-winner by showering the slugger with seeds.
