Apparently there was no cause for concern in the White Sox’s cutting of Ryan Burr and Caleb Frare from the 40-man roster on Monday.
Both pitchers — with at least outside chances at seeing time with the White Sox this year (Burr after finishing his TJS rehab) — saw no interest from the rest of the majors, and signed right back up with the White Sox.
Chicago cleared two more names from its 40-man roster and were no worse for wear. Frankly, the two pitchers made out OK as well, as multiple sources indicate that the White Sox offers to Burr and Frare came with spring training invites as well.
