.500 will have to wait for another day

The game started with hope to the back-to-.500 journey:

Leury García started the game with a single, and Yoán Moncada put runners on the corners and nobody out. An out later, Yonder Alonso walked on four straight pitches out of the zone to fill the bases. Eloy Jiménez struck out to double the total outs for the inning. However, Tim Anderson bailed Eloy out with bases-clearing double to right-center field!

Yolmer Sánchez continued the two-out damage with a double of his own! He drove home Tim, and the Good Guys were up 4-0.

33 pitches later, Lynn found his way out of the first inning.
