5 things: Blackhawks' simple answer to Ducks' physical play

Writing the "5 things" blog after Game 1 of the Western Conference finals while wondering how the Blackhawks could so quickly forget that they need to crash the Ducks' net:

1. The Hawks want control of the puck and control of a fast-paced game. They got both Sunday.

Then they fell victim to the two problems that come along with having the puck a majority of the time the way the Hawks did in the first two periods: failing to score and absorbing punishment.

Regular puck possession puts you in position to score, but it also puts you in position to get hit, and the Ducks love to hit, and the Hawks know it.
