4 takeaways from the White Sox series vs. the Blue Jays, including rain-delay naps and a big step forward for Lucas Giolito

White Sox starter Lucas Giolito walked consecutive batters with one out in the fourth inning Saturday against the Blue Jays.

In the past, it might have led to big trouble.

But the right-hander got Freddy Galvis to pop out to Tim Anderson and Brandon Drury to pop out to Yonder Alonso.

It’s an example of Giolito’s growth.

“That's one of the biggest things everybody has seen, if he's gotten into traffic a little earlier in the ballgame, it might've spiraled out of control a little bit, the damage he incurred might have been a little bit more,” Sox manager Rick Renteria said.
