Here are four takeaways from the Chicago White Sox’s four games against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Sox won the first two games at Miller Park in Milwaukee. The Brewers won the last two games at Guaranteed Rate Field.
But there were some miscues in the fifth inning of Thursday’s 8-3 loss. First, Eloy Jimenez couldn’t track down Christian Yelich’s slicer near the left-field line. Jimenez tumbled into the stands and got tangled in the protective netting. Yelich rounded the bases for an inside-the-park home run.
An error later in the inning by Jose Abreu eventually led to the final run of the four-run inning.
