The right-hander did not allow a hit in three scoreless innings Sunday against the Rockies. Giolito struck out two and walked one in his second start this spring.
“We’re on a pretty good progression,” Giolito said. “Three innings today, probably four innings the next one, the pitch count increasing. Body feels really good.”
“Going out there for the third inning (Sunday), I felt fresh,” Giolito said. “We just keep building from there and by the time the season rolls around, hopefully ready for six, seven, eight or more.”
Giolito said part of his spring has been about establishing his relationship with the catchers.
