3 takeaways from Chicago White Sox spring training Monday, including Nick Madrigal’s 1st Cactus League game and Michael Kopech preparing for Tuesday’s appearance

GLENDALE, ARIZ. — Andrew Vaughn, Yoan Moncada and Eloy Jimenez had the Chicago White Sox’s only hits in an 8-0, seven-inning loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday at Camelback Ranch.

Vaughn doubled in the fifth, and Moncada and Jimenez singled in the seventh. Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager hit a three-run home run off Zack Burdi in the second.

“There’s been no setbacks at all. If anything, I’m ahead of schedule in their eyes,” Madrigal said Monday. “I’ve been progressing really well from the strength side of it to mobility. It’s looking really good right now.
