Ten years ago they captured baseball’s biggest prize when they swept the Astros to win the World Series.
This weekend, 22 members of the 2005 White Sox are scheduled to participate in a reunion, including manager Ozzie Guillen, World Series MVP Jermaine Dye, Scott Podsednik, Geoff Blum, Joe Crede, Orlando Hernandez and Hall of Famer Frank Thomas.
Current Sox manager Robin Ventura said he and his team will welcome them with open arms.
“Those guys are always going to be special in the fans’ eyes and the organization’s eyes,” Ventura said Friday morning. “It’s fun having them around here.
