The Cincinnati Reds are showing interest in soon-to-be former Chicago White Sox outfielder and Dayan Viciedo, per John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer:
Some asked earlier: #Reds are interested in Dayan Viciedo. Story posted shortly. Makes sense. RH power bat, should be relatively cheap.

The Chicago White Sox requested release waivers for Viciedo on Wednesday after they had designated him for assignment just a week earlier. While the 25-year-old once again flashed his power in 2014 with 21 home runs, he posted a less than stellar .231/.281/.405 slash line in 563 plate appearances for the Sox.
Coupled with his high strikeout rate and accompanying lack of progression from a plate discipline standpoint, Viciedo's negatives outweighed the positives for a retooling Chicago White Sox management team.
However, the Reds are in need of power from the right side (as are many teams), so don't be surprised if they make a play to take over Viciedo's final two years of team control.
