When the Chicago Fire announced the signing of Colombian defender Carlos Terán on Aug. 21, Head Coach Raphael Wicky said it might be several weeks before he was able to join the team.
One month later, and there’s finally a bit of good news. Terán is still in Colombia because his country has banned all travel—in and out—because of the pandemic. But, Colombian officials appear poised to ease that ban tomorrow, Sept. 19. It means Terán could be on the way to Chicago soon.
Terán, who is 19 years old, is joining the Fire from Envigado FC in Colombia.
