Something’s up with David Zdrilic, the Aussie-born Chicago Fire assistant coach.
The Athletic’s Sam Stejskal reported Monday that Zdrilic is “no longer working with the Chicago Fire first team.” A source tells Hot Time Zdrilic’s “future - either with or without the Club - is still TBD.”
So what happened? Hot Time contributor Alex Calabrese tweeted on Monday that Zdrilic has been linked with the assistant manager job at Sheffield United, which could be the reason for his departure.
He’s considered to be a smart coach who is liked and respected by the players, so it would be a loss for the Fire if he departs.
