At first glance, it wouldn't really appear that Kay Felder will make a difference on this Bulls team. Felder was waived by the Atlanta Hawks and managed to play only 386 minutes for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. He averaged 4.0 points and 1.4 assists on a pedestrian 39 percent shooting from the field and 32 percent from 3.
The Felder pickup also seems reminiscent of a similar move that management made last year, claiming R.J. Hunter off waivers at the start of the season. Hunter played only three minutes for the Bulls before moving on to the G-League, but Felder will have a better chance to carve out a rotation spot than Hunter did.
