Two Chicago Fire Academy players named to U.S. Soccer U-14 training camp

Two Chicago Fire Academy players were named Tuesday to the upcoming training camp roster for the U.S. U-14 Boys' National Team, head coach Clint Peay has announced. The camp will take place Feb. 18-25 at U.S. Soccer's National Training Center in Carson, Calif.

Earning the call-ups were midfielder Javier Casas (Addison, Ill.) and forward Brian Gutierrez (Burbank, Ill.). Gutierrez previously was called into the most recent U-14 training camp in November.

The camp offers a chance to compete in a pair of friendlies vs. Club Tijuana's U-14 and U-15 sides this Friday (Feb. 24).
