Something about Luis Solignac matched up against the Montreal Impact seems to produce a bit of magic.
The Chicago Fire forward was nominated for this week's AT&T MLS Goal of the Week for his stoppage time equalizer in Saturday's 2-2 draw. Solignac pulled down an over-the-top pass from midfielder Dax McCarty and buried a low volley from just outside the 18 to level the score late and rescue a point for his side. Coincidentally, the last time Solignac was nominated for Goal of the Week was in Week 24 of last season, for another long-distance strike that helped sink the Impact.
