Sizing up the Sixers’ late-game offense

The Sixers were in prime position to improve to 2-3 with three minutes left in Wednesday’s game against the Houston Rockets, and as we all know, that didn’t happen. They coughed up their lead with a lack of offensive execution and Eric Gordon started the Rockets’ getaway car with a buzzer-beater that sent a good South Philly crowd home stunned.

Something I didn’t initially see was James Harden grabbing Joel Embiid’s jersey pretty good on the drive and kick to Gordon.

That detail doesn’t overshadow what a bad Sixers collapse this was, though. Five games in, with a young roster showing some real promise, it’s also not the end of the world.
