Raiders' two small backs — Washington and Richard — will try to fill the Marshawn Lynch void this week

While Marshawn Lynch took his Raiders pads and production crew to Oakland Tech High practice and went viral this week, two 5-foot-8 running backs have been busy working to fill the hold he left behind.

DeAndré Washington and Jalen Richard are both change-of-pace backs — though they scoff at that label — who are being asked to take the place of the bruising Lynch Sunday in Buffalo. Lynch was suspended for one game for running onto the field from the sideline last week and bumping an official to defend his buddy, Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, from Raiders teammates who were mad about a late hit on Derek Carr.
