On Tuesday -- the 148th anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire -- the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District announced that the soccer team will return to the heart of the city and play its home games at Soldier Field, beginning in 2020. Located in the Near South Side of Chicago alongside the Lake Michigan shoreline, the 61,500 capacity stadium has been a staple of Chicago's iconic sports landscape since it first opened its doors in 1924. It has additionally been the home field of the National Football League's Chicago Bears since 1971.
