Another highly-touted Canucks prospect is going to play at home in Europe this season.
Canucks general manager Jim Benning confirmed Tuesday that forward Jonathan Dahlen will return to Timra IK, the second-tier Swedish team he’s played for since 2015, before moving to a team in the top-flight Swedish Hockey League.
Dahlen is eligible to play in the American Hockey League, but returning to Timra for the time being makes all the sense in the world as the 19-year-old missed the Canucks’ Young Stars tournament and training camp due to mono, which stalled his preparation for the season.
