Stage 2 of the MLS Re-Entry Draft was held today and the Chicago Fire’s reaction to the picks on offer was decisively “meh.”
Three Fire players were available to pick in this stage— Razvan Cocis, Eric Gehrig, and Michael Stephens. None of them were picked this afternoon, so their futures remain murky.
The Fire had first dibs in the round but decided to pass. Houston then stepped up to claim central defender Leonardo Da Silva from the LA Galaxy. Then That Yellow Fucking Team Columbus chose defender Josh Williams, who lined up for them from 2010 to 2014.
