- After his acquisition was announced on Monday, defender Jonathan Bornstein gets his first start and appearance along the Fire backline. The match will be the 34-year-old's 124th in MLS regular season play, after appearing 123 times for Chivas USA from 2006-2010.
- Midfielders Dax McCarty and Nicolás Gaitán return to the starting XI having missed the Fire's trip to Philadelphia last Saturday as well as Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat to Cruz Azul in the 2019 Leagues Cup tournament.
