2018 MLS debutants LAFC selected five players from around the league in Tuesday's MLS Expansion Draft, none of which came from the Chicago Fire's pool of 13 unprotected players.
LAFC skipper and former Chicago Fire head coach Bob Bradley made Northwestern University product and one-time Chicago Fire U-23 goalkeeper Tyler Miller of the Seattle Sounders the club's first selection in the draft. He then added a pair of forwards in Sporting Kansas City's Latif Blessing and San Jose's Marco Ureña, before rounding out the draft with defensive selections Jukka Raitala of Columbus Crew SC and Raheem Edwards of Toronto.
