CHICAGO (January 30, 2018) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Tuesday the promotion of general manager Nelson Rodríguez to serve as president, along with the addition of long-time sports and entertainment executive, John Urban, to serve as the club’s new chief operating officer. Rodríguez will retain his role as the club’s general manager.
“After a thorough review of our operations and completing a comprehensive search process, we believe Nelson and John are the perfect duo to lead our club,” said Chicago Fire Owner and Chairman Andrew Hauptman.
