Three players were selected in Stage 1 of the MLS Re-Entry Draft on Friday, with the Houston Dynamo selecting former Seattle defender Dylan Remick, Orlando drafting former Chicago Fire goalkeeper Patrick McLain and the Seattle Sounders picking goalkeeper Bryan Meredith, formerly of San Jose.
Per MLS rules, all three players will have their contract options picked up and will immediately be added to the roster of their new teams.
After Chicago passed with the No. 1 overall pick, Houston selected Remick with the second overall selection. The 25-year-old left back appeared in 44 regular season games in his four years with Seattle, making 32 starts.
