Chicago Fire midfielder Luka Stojanoviu0107 is heading back to Chicago today to meet with doctors, who will decide how to treat the MCL injury he suffered Sunday night against the San Jose Earthquakes.
“He’s unfortunately going to be out for quite a while, probably,” Fire head coach Raphael Wicky said.
Stojanoviu0107 landed awkwardly after jumping for a 50-50 ball late in the first half against San Jose. He tried to keep playing, but was ultimately subbed off for Fabian Herbers just before halftime.
Stojanoviu0107 joined the Fire in March from Serbian side FK u010cukariu010dki.
